This Monday, August 4th  on Erev Tisha B’av, Professors Bernard Avishai and Sidra DeKoven Ezrahi will  lead us in study on “The Politics and Poetics of Jerusalem.'

Bernard Avishai is a Visiting Professor at Dartmouth and also teaches at Hebrew University. He blogs at newyorker.com.  Sidra DeKoven Ezrahi is Professor Emerita from Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

They live six months in Jerusalem and six months in New Hampshire.


Following the study session, Eichah (The Book of Lamentations) will be chanted in the candle-lit  Alperin Sanctuary.
