The Upper Valley Jewish Community (UVJC) of Hanover, New Hampshire seeks a part-time (average 30 hours per week) educational director for its 70-student two-day-a-week religious school. With its home on the beautiful Dartmouth College campus, UVJC is a warm and welcoming trans-denominational congregation that strives to address its diverse community, ranging from folks seeking a Jewish cultural experience to those preferring more traditional religious practice.
The educational director works under the supervision of the UVJC Rabbi, and is responsible for curriculum development; faculty hiring, training and supervision; special planning for family events (Jewish Holidays); B’Nai Mitzvah program coordination; family services for High Holy Days; and related administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will reflect the essence of our community: yesh makom l’chol echad po – “there is a place here for everyone.” Minimum requirements include a college degree, demonstrated interest in Jewish education, a love of working with both children and parents, and committed affection for Judaism.
Interested parties should submit a cover letter, resume, and salary requirements to Carole Clarke, at UVJC@Valley.Net or call with questions 603 646-0460
