Join us via Zoom for Family/All School shabbat and celebrate the consecration of new and 4th grade students.

Kol Ha’Emek has a tradition of holding a ceremony during which we welcome the students to the formal study of Torah and preparing to join the adult Jewish community.  It takes place toward the beginning of 4th grade.  Older students who have joined our community after 4th grade are also included.  Part of the path to the b’nai mitzvah is becoming familiar with the siddur (prayer book) and the elements of the Friday evening and Saturday morning shabbat services.  We used to give a copy of Siddur Hadash, the dark blue conservative siddur that our congregation has used for many years.  However, it is no longer in print, so we now give Siddur May Tov, the family siddur that we use for family/all-school shabbat services when we gather in the sanctuary.
This year we will celebrate consecration during the Saturday November 21st family/all-school shabbat service.
