Family-friendly Shabbat: Rosh Chodesh (New month), lunar New year, and welcoming New members

When

February 12, 2021
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Event Type

Celebrate Rosh Hodesh, the new moon and the new Jewish month, as well as the Lunar New Year, and our new members.  We will be doing Rosh Hodesh activities that involve biting off pieces of Oreos to mimic the phases of the moon, so please have some on hand.  You may use other round cookies if you like, but Oreo middles have a “moon-like quality” and you can consume part of that while leaving a nice black background of “sky.”  The whole thing will last no more than an hour and we would love to have you and your children participate by leading a blessing or song.  Here is a link to the service order where you can replace the suggested age range with your name next to the blessing or song you’d like to lead.
