This Sunday we are holding Hebrew School at the Living Tree Alliance for Sukkot on the Farm.
With music, storytelling, meditation, on-the-farm harvest demonstrations, and artisan crafts all are invited to cultivate community within Vermont’s abounding autumn beauty. Centered around the sukkah, the traditional hand-crafted harvest hut, the celebrations will explore the joy of living within renewed tradition, immersed in nature. All are welcome! Camping available Saturday night with pre-registration!
For 8 days and 8 nights, the Jewish people are encouraged to dwell in an impermanent hut vulnerable to the elements, blessed by star and moonlight and filled with guests. Landing always on the full moon of autumn, this holiday invites us to immerse ourselves in the foliage magic of our New England forests and to share the fresh harvest with community meals and celebration. Tradition urges us to dwell together, to build a village, to celebrate, and to be joyful.
