To my most beautiful Congregation:

I want to begin by thanking all of you for the privilege of serving as your Rabbi these past twenty years. The time has flown by far too quickly. I have been the one blessed to be a part of this remarkable community.

This past year, I have seen the spiritual growth of our community, especially with a new generation who has assumed the mantle of leadership. In deep reflection throughout these High Holy Days, I have reached the conclusion that it is time to step down at the end of my contract, June 30, 2018 and for this sacred community to begin a search for a new Rabbi who will provide spiritual leadership as Kol Ha’Emek grows in new and exciting ways.

By announcing my decision now, it will lay a smooth foundation for transition as our leadership begins a new chapter in the unfolding history of Kol Ha’Emek: The Upper Valley Jewish Community.

I am deeply appreciative of the support and the relationships over the many years of service. As I have often said, I believe that I have the best rabbinate in the country. It has been a most fulfilling experience in ways I never would have imagined. I know that the rabbinic successor(s) will feel the same.

In the interim, I will continue to be blessed in serving as your Rabbi. If you should have any questions, concerns, or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me at 1-603-646-0361 or rabbi@dartmouth.edu .

L’shalom,
Rabbi
