Jewish Communities in VT and NH

Jewish Connections and Communities
in Vermont and New Hampshire

There are a number of vibrant Jewish communities in Vermont and New Hampshire, and we collaborate with them to co-sponsor events or participate in each other’s offerings.

Jewish Communities of Vermont develops connections to promote pluralistic, inclusive, and welcoming Jewish life. In addition to sharing event and resource information about happenings throughout the state, JCVT hosts and co-sponsors statewide events that help connect congregations and individuals within the state. They also list information about each congregation in Vermont. Their website includes a Community bulletin board, a listing of Vermont writers, artists and teachers, and many other resources of interest.

The Jewish Federation of New Hampshire is a statewide organization that connects and engages the wider Jewish community of New Hampshire through meaningful local, regional, and statewide activities. JFNH advocates for the interests of the Jewish community locally and in Israel, raises and allocates resources to enable a thriving and safe Jewish New Hampshire, and partners with the state’s synagogues to enhance and expand Jewish life throughout the state.  They offer a number of programs to member families and congregations (UVJC is a member), such as the NH Jewish Film Festival, incentive grants for Jewish Summer Camp, publication of The Jewish Reporter, and the PJ Library.

Their website offers a list of upcoming events around the state, information about each of the Jewish communities in NH, and world Jewish news.
